The name was likely settled upon merely because of the dance's popularity at the time the pattern became fashionable, just as many other products and fashions of the era also adopted the polka name. In 1965, Bob Dylan wore a large print green polka dot shirt in the photo on the cover of his single Just like tom thumb's blues. (Wikipedia).

It takes a trained eye to couple polka dots ties with the rest of your outfit, so be careful. Italian and French men can pull these sorts of ties off because they are used to them. We suggest, therefore, to use this ties as THE flamboyant element of your outfit. In other words, do not couple VINTAGE ROSE with other extravagant accessories, shirts or blazers and you should be ok.

This tie's texture is twill, so it's soft at the touch, but the surface it's surprisingly smooth anyway; it's also relatively heavy bulky. You might want to skip these sorts of tie during in hot weather...

VINTAGE ROSE goes well with light blue, white, offwhite, pink and striped shirts (blue stripes). And keep in mind she's an old, classy lady, and she doesn't like skinny ties at all, because she thinks they are childish spoiled brats! So, store her far away from them!
